Gangs of youths have clashed at Southern Cross train station in a violent brawl streamed live on social media.
The teens believed to be part of street gangs are seen charging through the platform screaming and punching each other about 1pm on Tuesday.
Video of the clash, which unfolded on Platform 11, was shown live on Instagram as dozens of commuters watched the chaos unfold.
The dramatic footage shows more than 20 youths kicking punching and screaming, with some of them falling to the ground – dangerously close to the edge of the platform.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police attended Platform 11 at Southern Cross railway station about 1pm on Tuesday following reports of people acting unruly.
“Upon arrival several of the parties involved ran off however four were spoken to by police and will likely receive infringement notices for riotous behaviour,” the spokeswoman said.
It’s the second wild brawl to erupt in Melbourne between youths in less than 24 hours.

Videos have emerged showing about 10 youths kicking, punching and screaming as teenagers wreaked havoc along Chelsea and Mordialloc foreshore last night.
Police also confirmed three people had been taken to hospital with minor injuries following a “large altercation” at Sunny Boy on Mordialloc’s Bay Trail.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the beach and charged with behaving in a riotous manner and using offensive language.
