New video showing a massive brawl on Mordialloc beach, which ended with three people in hospital.

The footage — which shows dozens of teens brawling, paramedics at the scene, and police attending to an injured man — surfaced as police confirmed three people had been taken to hospital following a “large altercation” at Sunny Boy on Mordialloc’s Bay Trail on Monday night.

Police spokeswoman Megan Stefanec said officers spoke to several “persons of interest” and were seeking witnesses to the incident, which occurred about 5.15pm.

Inspector Matt Mulcahy said a 16-year-old from Narre Warren was arrested and cautioned in regards to assault and affray.

He said despite the disappointing behaviour, having police stationed around the area halted further trouble.

“There were no weapons involved,” he said.

As of Tuesday evening, two 20-year-old males who received upper body injuries in the clash remained in a stable condition in The Alfred hospital.

Earlier, video showing about 10 youths kicking, punching and screaming has emerged as teenagers wreaked havoc along Chelsea and Mordialloc foreshore last night.

The group fought and hurled abuse in front of horrified onlookers outside Chelsea Pizza House and Fish and Chips on Nepean Highway.

Sgt Stefanec said officers were also called to a large group of up to 50 youths causing trouble on nearby Chelsea beach about 8pm.

She said police patrolled the foreshore and the shopping precinct “for several hours until the youths left” but no other offences were detected.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the beach and charged with behaving in a riotous manner and using offensive language.

Sgt Stefanec said the boy was bailed to face a Children’s Court.

A father of two boys who were caught up in the fiasco said he wasn’t surprised at the incidents given the hot weather.

“The first one my son was just going to work, he works part time, and as he’s working there around the corner comes two bunches of brawling youths,” the man named John told 3AW.”

“You can see them obviously having a punch on and you can hear broken glass in the background.

“He had to put his phone down for safety reasons and the only way he could go was out onto Nepean Highway to get away from it.”

John said his other son was targeted in a separate incident when he went for a walk to the shops.

“About an hour later my other son goes to the shops and as he’s walking there’s about 20 kids walking down,” he said.”

“One of them separates from the group and walks over to my son and takes a swing at him, just completely unprovoked.

“Fortunately my son does boxing, so he was able to duck the punch and he just ran into the shops.”

The Chelsea resident said on hot nights “you always know something is going to happen” in the area.

Dozens of locals have commented on the viral Chelsea video, which shows a group of teens brawling in front of the shops.
