Fashionistas and foodies will have a new one-stop destination with The Glen shopping centre set to unveil the latest stage of its multimillion-dollar redevelopment.

A new indoor-outdoor dining precinct, new David Jones and 50 fashion and lifestyle stores will open at the centre next week.

As part of the celebrations on August 1, shoppers can get their hands on a complimentary eclair and glass of champagne and go into the chance to win one of 500 showbags valued at

$100.

The Glen centre manager Richard Devlin said some of the biggest stores of interest would be Innisfree, Superdry, Sketchers, Decjuba, Seed Heritage and Cotton On Mega.

“They’re the ones that are really going to draw the attention,” he said.

Mr Devlin said the most outstanding part of the redevelopment would be the indoor-outdoor dining precinct.

“We’ve got brands that traditionally haven’t gone out to shopping centres before such as Miss Ping’s Thai Eatery and Gami Chicken,” he said.

“The whole area is extensively green; it’s got a little fountain out there for people so there’s a lot of elements.”

He said the precinct would have its own European style state-of-the-art rooftop.

The centre is set to receive an extra 1000 car parks as part of the final stage of the two-year transformation.
