A popular burger chain is among a host of new eateries set to open at The Glen on August 1.
Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co, which began in Noosa, will open its first store in the east, with two other stores located in the CBD, and one in Windsor.
It will be one of 11 new restaurants in a new indoor and outdoor precinct at the Glen Waverley shopping centre, with eateries open for lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks every day.
Other new restaurants include:
- Vietnamese beer house, Bia Hoi, which will serve signature modern Vietnamese food and boutique beers
- Miss Ping’s, offering Thai dishes and hand-shaken cocktails
- Macelleria — The Butcher that Cooks, which will serve steaks and ribs
- Tina’s Noodles, plating up Chinese Sichuan noodles
- Shujinko Ramen, which will serve Tokyo-style ramen
- Korean restaurant Masizzim, which will open its first Australian restaurant with signature stew pots served with secret recipe sauces
- Gami Chicken, serving fried chicken and locally-brewed beer; and
- Miss Pickles Mediterranean Grill

The Coffee Club and Gong Cha, renowned for signature teas, will also open.
The open-air two-level dining precinct will feature a custom designed roof by Melbourne artist Vera Moller, and will have lush greenery, a playful interactive water feature, a grass play zone for children, bright animal sculptures and a stage for pop-up events and concerts.
