APARTMENTS could be introduced to a residential street in Burwood, with plans for a five-story block of flats awaiting approval.
A developer is proposing to demolish the single-story house and double-storey building at 47 and 49 McIntyre St to make way for 36 new apartments.
The building would host 24 two-bedroom apartments, nine one-bedroom apartments and three three-bedroom apartments.

Two basement levels would contain 46 carparking spaces, all allocated to the apartments, with no room for visitors’ cars.
