A lot of restaurants promise fast service but not many could beat the speediness of a new Box Hill eatery, which whips up tasty hot pots in just five minutes.

A new hot pot restaurant teeming with delicious fragrances and tastes has opened in Box Hill.
Easy Pot Box Hill Central offers both a meal and an experience, inviting diners to sit and enjoy the cooking process of the aromatic cuisine before they dive in to the filling dishes.
Box Hill Central marketing manager Allison Bailey said once items were chosen from the menu, the restaurant endeavoured to bring the food out “really quickly” to cook on the table in front of the customers.

“You order at the window and this delicious pot of goodness is out within five minutes,” she said.
Fresh Australian ingredients are combined with Sichuan seasonings and brought to the table in an iron pot to cook atop open flames.
Curling smoke with a strong fragrance emerges from the wok when the food is ready for tasting.
The affordably-priced menu offers six cold entree options to enjoy before the wok-experience begins with 10 different rice meals and five soups and side dishes.
In the first few weeks the restaurant has been open, pork belly has proven to be a favourite, with the restaurant pumping out its stewed and stir-fried options.
FACTORY MILLING WITH GOOD TIMES
Ms Bailey said the restaurant had been incredibly popular and “was packed” for both lunch and dinner.
But she said the kitchen’s quick service meant diners were fed and happy.
The restaurant also offers its cuisine takeaway.
The team behind Easy Pot Box Hill Central has another restaurant on Elizabeth St in the CBD.
A company spokesman said it was thankful to be welcomed by Melbourne customers.
“We will keep doing our best to make our store a good place for all people and make them feel satisfied by food and comfortable with the environment just like at home,” he said.
Easy Pot Box Hill Central is open from 11am to 9pm every day of the week, with the exception of Friday and Saturday when the doors are open until 10pm
