Doncaster Shoppingtown Hotel: Four teenagers arrested following alleged attack near Westfield

A group of teens have been arrested following an alleged attack on a 15-year-old near Westfield Doncaster. The teen has been left with serious head injuries.

A group of teens have been arrested following a Doncaster brawl that allegedly left a boy with serious head injuries.

Four, 15-year-old’s have been arrested and charged as part of a police investigation into a carpark fight at the Shoppingtown Hotel about 5.40pm on Wednesday, October 28.

The boy was taken to hospital, put in an induced coma and has been recovering in hospital.

Manningham detective Senior Sergeant Rohan Courtis said the four teens were charged with affray, intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, assault in company and assault by kicking.

A teen has been remanded in custody until November 18, while the other three will face a children’s court at a later date.

Sen-Sgt Courtis said there was no place for violence in society and everyone had the right to feel safe in their community.

“Manningham police are committed to ensuring that this behaviour does not continue, and those who commit serious and violent crimes will be held accountable,” Sen-Sgt Courtis said.
