A teen allegedly suffered facial injuries and was knocked unconscious during a brawl outside a popular fast food restaurant on Chapel St.

Stonnington detective Senior Sergeant Nick Densley said three people were arrested following the fight outside Windsor’s Lord Of The Fries restaurant at 12.30am on Thursday, October 29.

Sen-Sgt Densley said the victim, an 18-year-old Caulfield North man, and two friends were waiting in line at the shop after a night about at the Three Monkeys bar.

He said the trio were then involved in an argument with three other men and a fight broke out.

Sen-Sgt Densley said the three alleged attackers then fled the scene in a car parked nearby.

He said police arrested the three men a short time later on St Edwards Drive in Prahran.

Sen-Sgt Densley said the Caulfield North man was allegedly knocked unconscious and taken to The Alfred hospital to be treated for facial injuries.

The teen was later released while his two other friends, also 18 years old, were unharmed.

Sen-Sgt Densley said three men from Coburg, Ringwood and St Kilda, all aged in their late 20s, were taken to Prahran police station for questioning and released pending summons.

He said police would increase patrols along Chapel St, in the wake of the alleged incident and the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

Sen-Sgt Densley said officers would also be monitor bars and restaurants to make sure owners complied with Victorian Chief Health Officer rules.

“We want people to come out and enjoy their new-found freedom, but not be subjected to people fighting in the street and drunken behaviour,” Sen-Sgt Densley said.

“We are ramping up our presence around the entertainment precinct to make sure people can enjoy their night out.”
