The Melbourne based chain, known for its “sinfully delicious burgers” recently opened its 12th store on Glen Huntly Rd Caulfield and has plans to open four more before the end of the year, in Boronia, Fairfield, Box Hill and Caroline Springs.

Its expansion comes after the chain opened in the old Hungry Jacks building on Chapel St in South Yarra last year, complete with an angel wings selfie wall.

Customers lined up around the block to get their hands on one of 100 free burgers the owners gave away at the recent Caulfield store opening.

“It’s been really exciting, we’ve been received really well by customers in Caulfield,” a Burgertory spokesman said.

He said the key to making the chain’s burgers so tasty was using fresh produce and local suppliers.

The Boronia store will open in a plum spot at Boronia Junction shopping centre, near Woolworths and in the old home of an abandoned kebab shop.

Visitors to the site can scan a QR code on the windows and submit their details to receive a free burger at its opening day party.

The chain’s most popular burgers are the “Pride” featuring a beef patty, American cheese, relish, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle, and the “Lust” featuring Southern fried chicken, American slaw, pickles and mayo.
