Foodies will be in heaven when a new dining hall opens in Blackburn, featuring three restaurants under the one roof.

Foodies will be in heaven when three fast food outlets open under the one roof in Blackburn.

Known as Blackburn Eatery, brands Sideshow Burgers, Pizza Collective and Channel Fish and Chips will open at 155 Whitehorse Rd, formerly home to De Fazio’s restaurant, in the next six to eight weeks.

Sideshow Burgers director/owner Abish Gupta said the location was the perfect spot to open the business.

“This particular spot, on the main road, it has very good exposure,” he said.

Mr Gupta said they also wanted to fill the void for burger lovers in the suburb.

“There are absolutely no specialty burger places in Blackburn,” he said.

SideShow Burgers currently operates from five locations across Melbourne.

As well as their popular burgers, side dishes, including mac and cheese croquettes with secret sauce, and desserts such as deep fried oreo cookies and frozen yoghurts, are also a hit.

Because the former restaurant site in Blackburn was so big, Mr Gupta said they decided to add the other brands into the space as well.

All of the businesses will have a strong focus on home deliveries, although customers will also be able to dine-in.

“With COVID we realised foot traffic had dropped for eat-in restaurants,” Mr Gupta said.

“More and more people are jumping on delivery apps.

“Trying to have three businesses going with singular operating costs can give more value and benefit to customers.”
