Tributes flow for Erin Wilson and son Bane killed in Korumburra crash
The aunt of a mother and child killed in a horror crash in Korumburra says her niece’s happy optimism and beautiful son’s cheeky smile will be missed, as tributes from the tight-knit community continue to flow.

Erin Wilson and her son Bane will forever be remembered for their kind nature.
The mother and her eight-year-old son were tragically killed in a horror crash on Friday afternoon in Korumburra about 3:30pm.
Erin Wilson’s aunt Helena Wilson said they will “sadly be missed”.
“We will miss Bane’s cheeky smile,” Helena said.
“Erin was a great support, friend and cousin to [my daughter] MacKenzie”.
“She was always a happy person, nothing ever got her down.”
Helena said they were both too young to be taken so soon.
Friends and family have shared their tributes on Facebook, with Izzy Kay saying Erin was “gold” and Bane was “beautiful”.
“They were so beautiful and it was gorgeous to chat with [Erin] when I caught up with her earlier this year,” Ms Kay said.
“She will be incredibly missed”.
Tammy Grimley described Erin as a “beautiful lady”.
“This is just tragic,” she said.
The investigation by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives remains ongoing.
A 59-year-old Bass man was interviewed and has been released pending further enquiries.
