Australian folk rock band, the Waifs, will also be headlining the event.

Mama Kin Spender, an Australian music duo made up of Mama Kin and Dingo Spender, will also play. They released their debut album Golden Magnetic in 2018 and it was nominated for the 2018 ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album.

Rapidly emerging Melbourne guitarist/singer-songwriter Steph Strings will also play, along with Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung singer/songwriter and storyteller Carissa.

Based on Boonwurrung Country on the Mornington Peninsula, Carissa expresses her stories through singing in language and takes “you on a journey to a place where you can feel her deep connection to her ancestral roots”.

Ocean Sounds will also showcase local wines, cheeses and gourmet food vans.

A spokesman for the event said those who are attending should bring their “family, friends, and good vibes” to enjoy “quality music in a atmospheric and picturesque environment”.

“It’s time for picnic rugs, smiling friends, stunning local wines, gourmet food, the summer-sun softly setting over the ocean and some of Australia’s most amazing live music,” they said.

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday September 14. Find tickets here.
