A man has died and a woman is in hospital after a crash in Windermere late Tuesday night.

A Ballarat driver died and his passenger was flown to hospital after they crashed into a tree in Windermere on Tuesday night.
Emergency services responded to reports a car crashed into a tree on Remembrance Dr about 11.40pm.
The driver, a 39-year-old Ballarat man, died at the scene.
His only passenger, a 22-year-old Ballarat woman, was flown to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
Since the start of the year, 249 people have died on Victoria roads, compared with 257 at the same time last year.
