Three people have been charged over a terrifying home invasion where the alleged victim was threatened with a knife and assaulted with a hammer.

Police allege three offenders entered a home on Remembrance Dr in Cardigan on October 26, threatening a 27-year-old occupant with a knife, demanding cash from him, and assaulting him with a hammer.

The group then allegedly fled the scene with the man’s cash, wallet, and jacket; he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene.

On October 31, officers arrested an 18-year-old man on Spencer St, Sebastopol and a 20-year-old woman on Elsworth St, Mount Pleasant.

Then on 10 November, they arrested a 20-year-old Lucas man at a park near Pleasant St, Redan.

All three were charged with aggravated home invasion, armed robbery, and assault.

They will appear in court early next year.
