Jaidyn Nicholas Russell-Wiesner faced Albury Local Court today after allegedly stabbing a man at a Lavington residence on Friday night.

The 19-year-old was charged with reckless wounding in company, and was granted bail before the registrar on Sunday.

Police will allege at about 8pm on Friday night, a 44-year-old man entered a Wagga Rd residence and stabbed a 38-year-old woman with a kitchen knife.

Police will allege the 44-year old man, who was known to the woman, was then attacked by Mr Russell-Wiesner and another man outside the home.
The 44-year-old man sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to Albury Hospital where he remains under police guard.

The woman was treated in Albury hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Nicole Peacock said the prosecution would like to add a curfew condition to Mr Russell-Wiesner’s bail.

Magistrate Richard Funston granted a short adjournment of Mr Russell-Wiesner’s case, to return to court on Thursday, December 17.

“At this stage im extending your bail on the same terms and conditions,” Mr Funston said.

“But it’s very important there are no problems from now on with the police or anyone else.”

“This is a really serious time for you.”
