Army officer among Victoria’s 357 new cases

A member of the Australian Defence Force who worked at a Craigieburn testing centre is among Saturday’s 357 new coronavirus cases, it has been revealed. Five people died of the disease overnight as dozens of Melbourne nursing homes grapple with the outbreak.

Seventh Victorian dies, ADF to doorknock positive cases

A seventh Victorian has died from coronavirus in 24 hours as 300 new cases were confirmed. It comes as ADF troops get set to doorknock positive virus cases after it was revealed a quarter of those infected were unable to be contacted within a day of testing positive.

State government to boost pay for public servants

The Andrews Government is set to give pay rises to up to 50,000 public servants, along with a new “mobility payment” and increased allowances, as Victorians across the state battle unemployment, wage cuts and reduced hours due to the economic impact of the coronavirus.

Pregnant woman fights for life, masks made mandatory

Dad-to-be shares terrifying story as his pregnant partner fights for life in hospital after contracting coronavirus. Melburnians will be made to wear face masks in public and at work as COVID-19 continues to spread across the city, with three more Victorians dying and 363 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
