Saddle your kids up for some racing fun

MELBOURNE Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne has introduced the next generation of horse lovers to the joys of riding with a mock horse race at the launch of equine-based school holiday program Saddle Up.

FOR MONDAY'S PAPER Stafford Rescue Victoria have been offered a beautiful space of land on a 40 acre animal farm near Kyneton. The farm has plenty of space for 5 indoor/outdoor dog runs that will have individual rooms out of the cold and grassy runs off each kennel!  They are now fundraising to build the runs and get the property ready.Picture:Rob Leeson.

Staffies getting second chance at the good life

THEY’RE the adorable faces many other charities can’t afford to save. Now Stafford Rescue Australia has been offered land to use in Kyneton, but they need help to build a facility for dogs in need of specialty treatments that can cost upwards of $10,000 per pooch.
