It’s party season in Melbourne and A-listers, influencers and footballers, past and present, have been hitting the bars and heading to VIP events. Here’s who’s been spotted where.

Lauren Phillips has plenty to smile about.

The radio personality was out and about at an exclusive dinner for Golden Goose in Fitzroy, with an extra twinkle in her eye.

She had just returned from her European getaway where her now fiance, aviation tycoon Paul O’Brien had got down on one knee in front of their Hollywood heavyweight friends, including Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon while holidaying in Mykonos, Greece.

Phillips was without O’Brien on the night, instead taking her bestie and work colleague Clint Stanaway to the swish event, with executives from the cult favourite sneaker brand Golden Goose flying in from their Milan headquarters for dinner with the cool crowd.

Melbourne has certainly cranked into her former glory, with party season moving up a gear. Elsewhere, the Pullman Hotel on Swanston St pulled in the corporates and bigwig for the much hyped launch of their Elevate Club Lounge. Pitched as a rival to New York’s Soho House, the lounge is a new move to get people networking and back in the city.

It wasn’t chic, but tres chic at Entrecote when the president of Taittinger champagne, Vitalie Tattinger, hosted an intimate gathering while here for the FIFA women’s World Cup.

She spoke of the importance of family and holding those close, and remembering to enjoy the good times, always helped with a glass of champagne in hand.

Meanwhile, Virgin boss Richard Branson will hit Melbourne later this year to visit the home port of their new cruise liner, aptly called Resilient Lady.

It takes a lot to get our top influencers out on a Monday night, but the lure of free cruise could be the winning formula. Guests such as Bec Judd, Nathan Buckley and his girlfriend Brodie Ryan, Daniel Rioli and Collingwood’s Jack Crisp, firmly on the arm of his heavily pregnant wife Mikayla all lapped up the atmosphere at the rooftop cocktail party at Her in the CBD.
