Paul Hogan’s Will Smith-style slap threat to Shane Jacobson

Paul Hogan is set to endure a live roasting to celebrate his career but says he’s not afraid to deliver a slap to host Shane Jacobson if he doesn’t like the jokes.

There could be some Will Smith behaviour at the roasting of Aussie TV icon Paul Hogan.

But unlike the Academy Awards furore, it will be all in good humour.

Hoges, who has flown into town to take part in a celebration of his extraordinary career which is hosted by Kenny aka Shane Jacobson, says nothing is off limits.

Shane Jacobson will host a celebration of Paul Hogan’s career at The Palms at Crown.

“The first thing I do when I step off the plane is an open palm slap across the face to Shane because I know all the things he’s going to have a crack at me for,” Hoges said.

The difference between his event at The Palms in Crown Casino on Wednesday night and the Academy Awards fiasco is that according to Hoges there will be “no malice and not grubby”.

Ten other showbiz legends and Gold Logie winners will surprise Hoges on the night with plenty of ribbing which he likens to being out at the pub with his mates.

The Crocodile Dundee legend has been yearning to return Down Under from his Malibu base saying he’s like a “kangaroo in a Russian zoo” over there.

After hanging up from Hoges, Page 13 queried his good mate Jacobson if in fact all subjects would be on the table given his prickly nature (once to this interviewer) over the ATO, ex-wives and plastic surgery.

Kenny assured us, it’s all fair game but reminded us he was cleared of all charges, he is good mates with his ex wives and has never gone under the knife.
