Two of Melbourne’s most prominent families have tied the knot.
Ollie Howard, son of Victorian Governor Linda Dessau and former County Court judge Anthony Howard married Lauren Thurin, granddaughter of mega philanthropist John Gandel in blue chip 3142 Toorak suburb.
Thurin is the daughter of Gandel’s daughter, Lisa Thurin, and husband, David Thurin.
Lauren Thurin was based in New York, working for Flat World Partners, an advisory and investment firm focused on sustainability.
Howard, an arts-law graduate from Monash University, worked as chairman of AFL Europe and is a managing director at Startupbootcamp.
Notable guests at the swanky black-tie wedding included recently engaged Melbourne Football Club star Chrstian Petracca and his partner Bella Beischer and another prominent Melbourne family. Georgia Danos, nee Geminder, the granddaughter of late cardboard king Richard Pratt. Keeping up?
The former model is the eldest daughter of Australia’s third richest woman, Fiona Reminder, and her rich-lister husband Raphael Geminder, who also attended.
Georgia also tied the knot recently with finance partner Matthew Danos.
