Billionaire trucking magnate Lindsay Fox is chartering a luxury cruise ship in New York, with Eddie McGuire on-board as MC along with some other famous faces.

Nothing can take the air out of up-market trucker Lindsay Fox’s tyres for long. The billionaire trucking magnate was hospitalised in February following a nasty fall at Essendon Airport, which he co-owns with property developer Max Beck. The European sun has come calling and Fox and wife Paula have embarked for the good life.

Page 13 readers will remember reading about the 10-day “conception party” Mediterranean cruise to mark his 80th birthday.

The “conception” part was because the party was held nine months before his birthday.

Iron lady Gina Rinehart provided the fireworks back then. Literally, not figuratively.

To celebrate his 85th, Fox is again chartering a luxury Seabourn liner, this time from New York to Montreal during cruise season in September.

We don’t mention Daniel Andrews and the Fox family in the same breath anymore, eek those pesky stairs rumours that just won’t go away gets everyone so hot under the collar, don’t they?

But the guest list is replete with heavy hitters and Eddie McGuire will again take on MC duties.

Good friends and Linfox board members Bill Kelty and Simon Crean will be on board alongside Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest.

John Gandel and Solomon Lew will be piped aboard although word is still out on Mrs R attending.

So who will provide the fireworks? You know, the ones that go bang.
