Melbourne radio ratings: 3AW, Fox FM continue dominance
FOX FM has continued its ratings dominance, while big changes at one Melbourne radio station are starting to pay dividends. But the news isn’t so good for Triple M.

TWO high profile radio shows on Triple M have recorded disastrous results in today’s ratings survey.
Triple M’s breakfast and drive shows both lost listeners.
FOX FM topped the FM dial yet again, while sports station SEN’s big changes are starting to pay dividends.

Fox recorded a 12.1 per cent audience share. 3AW remains Melbourne’s ratings king with a 14.2.
Triple M’s Hot Breakfast team of Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Wil Anderson fell 1.0 to 6.9 to come in behind clear leaders FOX FM, Nova, Smooth FM and Gold FM.
In the highly competitive breakfast slot, Fox FM’s Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke continued their dominance with 10.3.
It was disappointing for the much hyped Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy on Triple M drive, dropping well behind leaders Hughesy and Kate on FOX FM, as well as Gold FM, KIIS FM, Nova and smooth FM. They fell 1.3.
Nationally Nova’s Kate, Tim and Marty drive team won their 10th consecutive survey.
SEN recorded a 3.2, up 0.3 from the last survey.
SEN’s much hyped morning show with Gerard Whateley rose to 3.2.
The biggest win for SEN came in the 7pm-12 midnight slot, where it rated 4.0. The station covered Australia’s controversial cricket tour of South Africa in this slot during the ratings period.
In the next ratings period SEN will go up against new station Macquaire Sport for the first time.
Former SEN hosts David Schwarz and Mark Allen are going head-to-head with new hosts Kevin Bartlett and John Rothfield, who is known as Dr Turf.
