Latest radio ratings: Melbourne’s top stations revealed
The final round of radio ratings has delivered Christmas joy for some but a lump of coal for others, with SEN dropping across the board. But one station stands out as the city’s favourite.

3AW’s Tom Elliott has joined longstanding favourite FOX FM on top in the drive spot for the final radio ratings survey of the year.
Elliott’s program jumped by 0.4 to draw level on an 11 per cent audience share alongside Carrie Bickmore, Tommy Little, Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek.
SEN dropped across the board, with Gerard Whateley’s show falling 1.6 to 3.5.

Overall, Melbourne’s most listened to radio station was 3AW.
Coming in behind 3AW was Smoothfm as it increased 1 point to a 10.4 share.
It was a pleasing survey for Smoothfm, which jumped 0.8 in breakfast to 8.9 with Jennifer Hansen and Mike Perso. That result put them in second place on the FM dial behind long-time leaders FOX FM and Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke on 9.5.
GOLD FM was next after a 0.5 rise, followed by Triple M’s Hot Breakfast team of Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Wil Anderson on 8.3, with Nova’s Chrissie Swan, Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown dropping 0.4 to 7.2.
3AW’s Ross Stevenson and John Burns fell 0.4, but still dominate with 19.4.
In drive, Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy on Triple M dropped 0.3 to 7.3 while KIIS FM and Smoothfm made gains.
For the AM stations, 3AW was yet again the most popular station overall with a 15.2 share.
ABC Melbourne fell 0.1 points to a 9.3 per cent share while Macquarie Sports Radio finished the year with just a 0.1 share.
