AFTER copping a withering backlash for suggesting reality TV celebrity Simone Holtznagel should be categorised as a plus-sized model, Triple M’s Mick Molloy has now put himself on a diet.
Molloy has taken a good, long look in the mirror following his brave comments about the I’m a Celebrity …. Get Me Out of Here! model’s shape and perhaps wisely decided it is he, not her (right), who needs to shed a few kilos.
“I went to the gym, I’ve been fat shamed so much over the last couple of days,” Molloy told his Triple M listeners. The time was right.”

Molloy freely admits he has let himself go since his beloved Tigers won the AFL Grand Final in September.
“Let’s say it has been a fairly solid hitout. There has been a fair bit of drinking, some bad eating, no gym work,” he said.
An eating plan and gym sessions are now on his schedule after he weighed in during his show at 105.7kg.
Molloy is starting slowly.
“In two weeks I will be 105kg,” he told his listeners.

Supporting him on his shape-up with chicken and kale salads and a meal plan is his co-host, Jane Kennedy, who has credentials as a fat fighter. She is the author of the best-selling cookbook Fabulous Food, Minus the Boombah.
While Molloy is starting his weight-loss journey, Holtznagel has emerged from the jungle minus 6kg and looking more stunning than ever.
Upon her exit from the jungle on Thursday, Holtznagel said Molloy should “sit down.”
“Being a model, people talk about the way I look all the time, but sit down Mick Molloy,” she said.
“I’m lucky that I’m really strong and confident and sure of myself and I have a really great support network.
“I know who I am and I don’t feel the need to make comments like that about other people.”
