Melbourne businesswoman and social media star Sophie Cachia has revealed she is expecting her third child.

Cachia, who endured a very public heartbreak with the sudden end of her engagement to basketballer Maddie Garrick in October 2022, announced her pregnancy with a loving post to Instagram on Wednesday night.

Cachia’s daughter, Florence, and son, Bobby, were pictured cuddling up to their mum and in the next frame were snuggling up to her tummy.

Cachia captioned the photos “Mine” with emojis representing Bobby, Florence and a baby.

On her Instagram stories she added a further, powerful comment “create the life you want” before telling her social media followers, “Have been MIA … now it might make sense. We’re having a baby.”

Cachia shares her daughter and son with her ex-husband Jaryd Cachia.

She split with her AFLW player girlfriend, Sophie Van De Heuvel, earlier this year.

It is not known if she is currently seeing anyone.

Cachia has been public about her hope for another child.

She was planning to have a child with Garrick, with the couple having explored sperm donation, however those plans went by the wayside with the shock end of their relationship.

“We’d done the whole sperm donation, the waiting list,” Cachia told the Herald Sun in January 2023.

“Pretty much now I’m at the top of the list. To get so close and then have that (split) happen, it not only affects my relationship but it affects my future being a mum as well.

“It’s such a big process to go through now for it to be taken away from me.

“I can make my own choices but it’s scary too. I love love and I love falling in love, I love sharing my life with someone. But at the same time I would love to have one, two, three more babies.

Cachia posted a powerful comment about her growing family on Instagram.

“I’m very blessed to be able to do it on my own. The kids ask me every day ‘when can we have a sibling?’.”

Cachia has not revealed any details of her pregnancy other than she is expecting.
