Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett among Aussie stars nominated for awards at the Golden Globes
Nicole Kidman and Guy Pearce are among the Aussie A-listers who are in the running to take home a Golden Globe award on Monday.

Australian stars Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Guy Pearce and Naomi Watts are all in the running for Golden Globes glory at the annual film and TV awards on Monday.
Melbourne claymation genius Adam Elliot is also among nominees for the awards handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The 82nd Golden Globes will be held at the Beverley Hilton in Los Angeles with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Angelina Jolie, Pamela Anderson, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, Demi Moore, Zendaya, Glen Powell, Sebastian Stan, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Kieran Culkin and Denzel Washington, among the nominations and expected to attend.
Kidman is nominated for best female actor in a motion picture drama for Babygirl.
In the film she plays a prim chief executive who embarks on an affair with a much younger intern.
Blanchett is nominated for best female actor in a limited series for Disclaimer. Nominated in the same category is Watts who has been recognised for her role as American socialite Babe Paley in the brilliant series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.
Pearce has been acknowledged for his work in the film The Brutalist, nabbing a nomination for best supporting actor in motion picture.
Elliot, who won an Oscar in 2004 for his short animation film Harvie Krumpet, is in the running for best animated motion picture for his film Memoirs of a Snail.
Adopted Aussie Robbie Williams is also among the Golden Globe nominees. His song Forbidden Road, from Better Man, is up for best original song in a film.
Better Man, based on Williams’ life story, was made in Melbourne. Williams was given the key to the city of Melbourne after he performed a free concert to 12,000 people in Federation Square on Thursday.
