Married at First Sight fan favourite risks it all again for a wife

THEY had a disastrous experience last year, but this Married at First Sight fan favourite is coming back in the hope of finding love this time.

MARRIED at First Sight favourite John Robertson, 55, had a simple reason for returning to the Channel 9 show after his disastrous experience on the dating series last year — he was still single and looking for love.

The Melbourne resident was brutally rejected by his TV match Deborah last year for not being a “Polynesian man”, but believed this time luck was on his side.

“I was still single and they (producers) approached me,” Robertson said.

“I had some reservations and then thought, ‘well, what have I got to lose?’

And I thought, ‘they know me better now, so why not?’ You have to risk for return.”

Robertson admitted finding love was getting harder.

“You get rejected and you think I just don’t want to go through that again, but if you don’t you are going to miss out on something else,” he said.

“The older you get it definitely does get harder and harder to date. The older you get the more set in your ways you become.”

However, he believes the risk of putting his heart on the line again for the show has been worth it, describing his TV “wife” as “stunning”.

“She is a totally beautiful woman,” he said.
