Gossip Queen: Nadia Bartel to make brave appearance at this year’s Brownlow Medal
Less than two months after her public split from husband Jimmy, Nadia Bartel is set to take the next step in her return to public life at AFL’s night of nights later this month.

Nadia Bartel is taking the brave next step in her return to public life following the disintegration of her marriage to former Geelong player Jimmy Bartel, with confirmation she will be part of the AFL’s biggest night.
Bartel is kicking on and has been confirmed as one of the four members of the team hosting Channel Seven’s Brownlow Medal red carpet special at Crown on Monday, September 23.
Fashion and WAGS have in recent years become a vital and highly scrutinised element of the night which celebrates footy’s elite on-field performers.
Bartel was very much one of the WAG glamour queens of the carpet, often vying for best on ground honours, when accompanying her now estranged husband, who won the Brownlow Medal in 2007, to the event over the past eight years.
Last year she was part of Seven’s carpet coverage team and her sound performance clearly meant she was an obvious choice to be included again this year.
Despite their marriage split being so very public, thanks in part to Jimmy’s close friendship with Melbourne woman Lauren Mand, Bartel has gone about her work commitments with quiet dignity and resolve.
She appeared as a guest speaker at a Mercedes Benz lunch last month and is sure to put her best foot forward for the on-camera role on Brownlow night.
She also has the Seven special Ladies Night due to air next month. According to sources Jimmy, who was in the audience supporting Nadia for the celebrity burlesque performance which was filmed in April, has been discretely snipped from the final cut of the show.
Jimmy, who was photographed in Sydney with Mand on August 28, has also been going about his media commitments with Seven and Macquarie Media.
Seven is yet to confirm the rest of its red carpet line-up.
