Former Hawthorn player Jonathon Patton, who left the club last year following claims of inappropriate behaviour on social media, is making his mark in real estate.
Patton, the number 1 draft pick in 2011, announced his retirement from the AFL last April and apologised for “my inappropriate behaviour towards women”.
Patton was stood down by the Hawks in January last year when several women accused him of sending sexually explicit images and videos of himself via social media.
“My actions were completely unacceptable and I am truly sorry for any distress I have caused.”
He is learning the ropes with Kollosche Real Estate as a Sales Associate on the Gold Coast after relocating to Queensland.
He is described on the agency website as having “outstanding discipline and a strong work ethic”, “high attention to detail” and the ability “to forge strong relationships with clients.”
When not at work, “he enjoys spending sunny Gold Coast days on the beach, reading a great book or sharing a meal with family and friends.”
He has recently been involved with some decent sales including a block of land in Surfers Paradise for $3.9m and a nearby luxury home for $2.5m.
Real estate may end up being a better game for him than footy.
