Brendan Fevola has revealed he was reality TV’s $500,000 man.

Fevola’s lucrative haul came via Channel 10’s I’m Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here and he even managed to negotiate extra clauses in his deal to make the jungle experience less arduous.

“I was going to the jungle, I was on about $500,000,” Fevola said of his fee to do the show.

“It was $350,000 and $5000 a day after that. All up close to half a mill.”

His special clause was the right to puff on a dart (smoke), an exemption he knew he could get thanks to Shane Warne.

Fevola and Warne were both contestants on I’m A Celeb in 2016. Warne collected a cool $2m for taking part in the show.

Warne called Fevola the night before they were to fly out to the South African set to tell him he would be joining him on Celebrity.

As part of that conversation Warne told him about the special clause in his contact that would allow him smoking breaks on the show.

As soon as the call ended Fevola was on the phone to the IAC producer demanding the same exemption – which he got.

“By the end of it, the last five people (in the camp), they all smoked,” he said.

Fevola won the show and was crowned king of the jungle.

Fevola revealed the secrets of reality TV on Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick breakfast show, explaining that many celebrities negotiated special clauses in their TV contracts.

As for Fev, his Celebrity Pay cheque was a big step up from the deal he cut to do Dancing With The Stars in 2012.

“Dancing, I did not get that much for that,” he said.

“I was on the skids when I was on Dancing. That was ashtray change sort of stuff.”
