After nine years Melbourne power WAG Rebecca Judd has gone missing on screen at Channel Nine.
Judd has been a host and presenter on Nine’s Victorian focused travel show, Postcards, since 2011 and she was also Nine News Melbourne’s weekend weather presenter for several years.
However with the COVID-19 lockdown putting the brakes on Postcards, a show that requires presenters to travel around the city and state and encourages viewers to travel and explore, Judd has been left without a role on the network she has called home for almost a decade.
Postcards was the busy mum of four’s only commitment for Nine.
Postcards is screening best of episodes until November with Shane Crawford and Lauren Phillips, filming the occasional fresh piece to camera or story.
Just when, or if, the show will return to its normal filming schedule is unknown with so much dependent on future COVID-19 restrictions on travel and social distancing.
Nine is however known to be keen to work with Judd in the future should a role become available and Judd is obviously extremely fond of the show that has been a genuine joy to film and be part of for so many years.
Judd has hardly been left twiddling her fingers. She has a multitude of partnerships and ambassadorial roles with companies including Land Rover, Paul Bram and Chadstone as well as investments in the brands Jaggad and Spray Aus. She also co-hosts The 3PM Pick Up on KIIS FM.
Interestingly Judd’s break with Nine does open the door to other networks keen to work with one of the highest profile and most talked about women in Melbourne.
