Footy WAG and fashion designer Rebecca Judd has revealed she was turned away from a glamorous photoshoot location in Byron Bay when a Hollywood superstar rolled into town.

She booked a super-luxe hinterland home for a glossy fashion shoot, but Bec Judd was sent goodwill hunting for another location when a Hollywood superstar showed up.

Bec, a model, designer and broadcaster, thought she would combine a family holiday in Byron Bay with her husband, AFL legend Chris Judd and their four kids, with a catalogue shoot for her activewear label, Jaggad.

“It was so fun,” Bec said on the KIIS-FM radio show she co-hosts with Monty Dimond. “We were meant to do a shoot for Jaggad, which is the clothing company we co-own. We booked this amazing place, this awesome location, out in the hinterland for a day (for the shoot)

“But we got bumped from the location because they’d taken this really big booking – which is totally fair enough, because when you’re booking it for a location, you’re just paying for the day.

“This one place was quite pricey, and I thought, gosh, who could stay in a house like that for such a long time? We could afford a half day.”

Matt Damon, star of Good Will Hunting and the Jason Bourne action films, used to own a holiday home in Byron Bay, but regularly visits his friends and celebrity residents, Chris and Liam Hemsworth.

Hollywood star Zac Efron has also recently settled in Byron Bay.

Judd said she “was not a fan” of the area after a visit 12 years ago.

She said: “We went in the middle of summer, it rained 20mm ... which is heavy rain, every single day … and there were a lot of … what’s the word?”

“Hippies? Greenies?” Dimond offered.

“Rough people,” Judd answered, “fighting and yelling. It was a bit scary back then.”
