As if the year could not get any worse, it appears the much promised return of Juddchella is off.
Yes, the house party hosted by Chris and Rebecca Judd that made national headlines is at this stage not going to have a 2020 sequel.
Chris Judd confirmed the sad news that the coronavirus shut down had derailed plans for Juddchella #2.
Despite looking at options including temperature checking guests, reducing the costume requirements and even eradicating the controversial “pump and dump” breast feeding lounge, Judd told Triple M’s Hot Breakfast that there was “not a place on the 2020 calendar” for the party.
While he was being lighthearted about the party, the Judd family, like the majority of Victorians, is taking the corona crisis seriously and adhering to government’s shut down regulations.
“I am trading stocks through it so I am set up in a room (at home) trying to get a bit of peace and quiet from the kids,” Judd said.
“(I’m) doing a heap of reading and then when I am not doing that I’m getting bossed around to do chores and getting screamed at by a couple of three-year-olds.”
For those with short memories, Juddchella was a private party at the Judd’s Brighton home for 125 of their mates in November with a music festival theme.
Highlights included ‘fashion security’ at the door vetting guest’s costumes, a “pump and dump” room for drunk mums needing to express and dispose of breast milk, police turning up to investigate a noise complaint, a guest getting papped at a bondage shop while looking for accessories for her costume and Chris driving his car into the garage wall at the house and leaving a hole in it.
In these challenging times there is nothing wrong with having a laugh at a fun memory or a good time.
