Queen of the WAGS Rebecca Judd turned a housewarming party for her $7 million “forever” home in Brighton into an over the top festival of fantasy.
Judd drew inspiration from the US arts and music festivals Burning Man and Coachella for the high glam bash on the tennis court at the footy family’s recently renovated mansion in the desirable bayside suburb.
But missing from the stars-gone-wild event on Saturday was the much talked-about ferris wheel.
Judd had stated her determination to shoehorn a ferris wheel on to the tennis court when she revealed her plans for the ultimate Brighton house party on KIIS FM in July.
Instead a stick-like structure resembling an uncovered teepee was in its place.
Free-flowing spicy margaritas made sure guests quickly forgot the ferris wheel’s no-show.
Model turned TV presenter, Judd, set the costume standard for guests, holding court in elaborate ensemble featuring an embroidered bra top, a sheer bolero jacket, and an embellished sheer skirt with reflective panels and pink trunks.
A gold waistband added a Wonder Woman touch to the outfit which shrieked “get the party started.”
“Festival vibes only. We’ll have security there to keep the riffraff out. My whole life is very subtle,” she had said earlier of the event.
Other guests sticking to the dress code included Nadia Bartel in a burlesque inspired two-piece, Jessie Murphy in a glitter-bombed marching band outfit, Kylie Brown who looked like a circus ringmaster and Michelle Greene in tie-dye and white boots.
Also getting into the festival of Judd were Marc Murphy, Olivia Anderson, Damian Barrett, Luke Darcy, Polly ‘PJ’ Harding and Jase Hawkins, Sally Crinis, Lauren Phillips, Emily McKay, Ellie Pearson, Lana Wilkinson, Lorinska Merrington, Judy Romano and the party’s co-host Chris Judd.
While Judd had previously spoken about her plans for the house party of the year, the date of the celebrity-studded bash was unknown until Luke Darcy accidentally blabbed the details on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast last week.
The slip of the tongue almost saw him booted from the guest list.
“He gets the call-up, then repays the favour by going public,” Chris Judd told Triple M.
“Luke was no guarantee to get an invite, to be honest.
“I’m hoping he gets there in the leather chaps, with a Village People-style look.”
