Brynne Gordon, the ex-wife of late colourful businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, has revealed she’s unlucky in love again.
The former socialite named and shamed her ex-partner, posting the break-up messages she was sent and tagging Simon Henrikson on Facebook.
“And just like that, I’m single again.” Gordon wrote on Sunday night.
The screenshots she attached included the suggestion that “I won’t be coming home tonight”, mentioned the prospect of prison and a surety, which is a promise or agreement made by one party that debts and financial obligations will be paid.
The blunt message Gordon posted read: “Baby as you worked out yesterday I went to see Emma. She laid an ultimatum for me, saying that she would no longer continue as surety if I continued to live with you. I love you, but if I have no surety I do not think that you would handle being alone for however long I was locked up for and while she said that I could no longer live with you, there was nothing about not continuing to see you. The deadline was today, and so I have taken most of my things and gone to a hotel for the night. I am so sorry to have to tell you this, and I don’t know how you whish (sic) to move forward from this, but I won’t be coming home tonight. I will be in contact tomorrow. I love you.”
Many of Gordon’s followers were incensed, saying she deserves better and mocking his spelling. Henrikson’s profile is private.
In response to a friend asking who’s Emma, Gordon replied “his ex gf”, implying his ex girlfriend.
And when asked “why does she control his life if she is an ex”, Gordon wrote “Exactly”.
Gordon gave birth to her first child, a daughter Starr Amari, in 2022 and said becoming a mum had changed her life.
She’s had a string of relationships but has yet to find long-lasting happiness.
Her most high profile love match was a four year marriage to Edelsten, 40 years her senior, which ended in divorce in 2015. Edelsten died in June 2021, aged 78.
Gordon and Edelsten’s other ex-wife Gabi Grecko were not left a cent in his will, estimated to be valued at just over $1m, with both lodging claims contesting it.
The parties reached a settlement, along with Edelsten’s son Matthew Beard, in October last year.
