Sophie Cachia says she will likely keep her next relationship private after the heartbreak of her latest split.

The mum of two and successful businesswoman says she’s happily dating but doesn’t need people to know details about it.

She has gone through a public separation from her fiancee, Italy-based basketballer Maddie Garrick, who she broke up with in October.

“My new motto is it’s not secret, it’s just none of your business,” Cachia said.

“I’ve had a lot of public breakdowns and I’m sick of it. I’m not even in that frame of mind now (for a relationship).

“Any female I’m seen with I must on a date with or dating. Every female I’m seen with is not a girlfriend. People need to be very careful with their assumptions.”

Cachia said she was enjoying single life.

“I’m very direct. I have for the first time in my life had more people slide into my DMs. But I just love meeting people out and about,” she said.

On her new podcast Her she has spoken about her sex life and why relationships between women are easier.

In a chat with Allira Potter she shared her thoughts on why same-sex experiences came with less pressure.

She said for the first few months of “dating a man” most women want to look pretty all the time, to the point of pretending they “don’t fart”.

“When you are with a girl it’s like ‘oh I didn’t shave my legs, oh neither did you? cool,’ she said in the podcast which is hosted by Mamamia.

“There’s no issues because you have that relatability straight away.”

Cachia also announced her second book Then There Was You was available for pre-order.

She has interviewed a variety of guests with different experiences.

“I could write a thesis on what this cover expresses to me … but for now … it’s gratitude and thanks,’’ Cachia said.
