Tigers star Nathan Broad and Myer model Tayla Damir tie the knot

Richmond defender Nathan Broad and former Love Island winner Tayla Damir had a specific rule for guests at their wedding in Queensland.

Tayla Damir and Nathan Broad have married in an intimate wedding in Queensland.

The Richmond premiership defender and Myer model simply posted pictures of their special day captioned “Mr and Mrs Broad -17.10.22”

The couple who are both from Perth, got engaged in June last year, and were surrounded by family and friends in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Damir wore a gown by Oglia-Loro Couture and Broad wore MJ Bale.

A standout at the Brownlow Medal last month on a last minute invite, Damir told the Herald Sun she wanted guests to put their phones down.

“My biggest thing is I want to see everyone’s face rather than the back of phones so in that case it will probably be a no phone wedding,” she said.

“It’s really quite a refined wedding, with really close family and friends.”

Damir held her hen’s party at Crown in September. “The weekend was so magical. I can’t thank everyone enough for making it so special,” she said.

The moment Broad dropped on one knee to propose to the former Love Island winner was captured by a security camera hanging over their porch. Tayla also shared a selfie with Broad and their dog which showed off her sparkly new ring.

“My forever,” she wrote at the time.

Damir said she felt settled in Melbourne after making the move to be with Broad.

“I’m loving it in Melbourne and I said to Nath when I got back from Perth, I didn’t realise how much it feels like home,” she said.

“I felt a bit homesick and that’s a nice feeling.”

Damir will be trackside at Flemington in her role with Myer.
