Air Supply frontman Russell Hitchcock is all out of love with a stalker he claims has waged a relentless hate campaign against him and his wife.
Hitchcock says he and his fourth wife Cari have been subjected to threats, abuse and false statements by the woman.
“She’s told so many lies and I’ve had enough,” Hitchcock said in video posted to his Facebook page. “There’s not one day where we don’t get something negative, or insulting or derogatory about Cari or myself, and I’m really fed up with it.”
In a no-holds-barred rant that covered random topics including service dogs, Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino’s house, and other stalkers, Hitchcock pleaded for the woman to seek professional help.
“You said I had sex with you; that’s a lie,” Hitchcock said. “You said you were outside what you presumed was Al Pacino’s place because you quoted a line from (the movie) Scarface, ‘Say hello to my little friend.’ I know where Al Pacino lives, and it’s about 60 miles from where you thought he may live.”
Hitchcock added: “I’m sick and tired of waking up every day ... seeing you harass myself and my wife. I’m angry because this upsets my life. This happens at least once a day, sometimes twice a day, sometimes three times a day.
“You’ve called my wife every name under the sun including the most vile names. It’s been happening since July 12, the day after (he and Cari) got married. We are married, well and truly married …despite what you try to do to undermine my relationship. It ain’t gonna happen babe. I’m in love with my wife, totally, deeply and forever in love with her.”
He also disputed the woman’s claims of owing a service dog. “Your service dogs are as service dogs as my pet ferret, and he’s not trained at all,” Hitchcock said.
Soft rock legends Air Supply — Hitchcock and Graham Russell — formed in Melbourne in 1975 and conquered the world with hits including Lost In Love, All Out Of Love, Every Woman in the World, The One That You Love, and Even The Nights Are Better.
The band is based in the US.
Hitchcock said he had dealt with other stalkers in the past.
“I had lady move from Pennsylvania down the street from me,” he said. “I had to legally get her served with papers and she moved away, I’ve been threatened by other stalkers.”
But he said his latest stalker should “quit it now” and “get help.”
Asked for comment on the stalker drama, Hitchcock told the Herald Sun: “This has been ongoing for nearly two years now.” He said the matter is part of “continuing legal action.”
