There’s a new Aussie power sporting couple taking the US by storm.
Former Australian golf star Geoff Ogilvy and his partner, TV host Bree Laughlin, have been front and centre at the build-up to the highly anticipated Presidents Cup in Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
International Team Captain Trevor Immelman appointed four captain’s assistants for the event – Korea’s K.J. Choi, Canada’s Mike Weir, Australia’s Ogilvy and Colombia’s Camilo Villegas.
Laughlin has been mixing with golf’s top WAGs at team dinners, in limos and group activities as the golfing world comes together for all the action featuring the sport’s big names, including Adam Scott, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Hideki Matsuyama, Tony Finau, Patrick Cantlay and Max Homa.
Laughlin, who hosts Your Golf Show with Paul Gow on Fox Sports, said it had been a dream come true to be involved so closely with her partner of eight months.
“The vibe in the international team is awesome,” she said.
“We are such a diverse team and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can do. I’m so lucky to be sharing this experience with Geoff.”
Ogilvy won the 2006 US Open, one of eight wins on the PGA Tour.
Melbourne will host the Presidents Cup again in 2028 and 2040.
