After taking a brief career detour, Annalise Dalins has returned to where her passion lies in modelling.

Inspired by her partner, Collingwood star Josh Daicos, last year’s Miss Universe Australia runner-up has made the move from PR to sign with Vivien’s Model Management.

“I always had my heart set on modelling but I felt a bit stuck personally and needed a break,’’ she said.

“Josh has encouraged me to say yes to every opportunity. He loves footy and every day he says I’m so lucky to do what I love. I was like, ‘I want the same’.”

It was at a photoshoot last year with celebrity stylist, Paul Versace from Styled by Bloom, when Dalins, 21, realised how much she missed being behind the camera.

“It’s such a fun industry to be part of and it’s really social and positive,’’ she said.

“I made the sporadic decision to do Miss Universe and I mainly did it for the experience. It really put me out of my comfort zone in the best way and pushed me to give everything a go.”

Dalins has just taken part in Melbourne Fashion Week casting and is finishing her commerce degree this year.

Versace styled the blonde beauty for the Brownlow Medal which elevated her into the spotlight.

He said: “She’s going to be a star”.
