Melbourne fashion influencer Rozalia Russian has detailed a horror experience with food poisoning while on holiday in Europe, labelling it the “worst day of my life”.

Russian and bar king husband Nick Russian, who owns city hotspot Bar Bambi, were in Paris with their two children dining at a Michelin star restaurant at the Louvre.

The glamorous society queen said she wasn’t too hungry and ordered something light, a salad nicoise, as she enjoyed a stunning view.

“It was honestly the worst day of my life,” Russian told her more than 265,000 followers on Instagram.

“I woke up at like 2am and felt sick and nauseous and tried to go back to sleep. 3am I started vomiting and I’m like oh my god. Then 4am, 5am, 6am, we were leaving Paris to go to Puglia, we had two flights to catch, I got to the airport in Paris.

“Went to get anti-nausea tablets. I started sweating so bad, I couldn’t even stand up straight I had to sit down. I didn’t even make it to the bathroom I just vomited all over myself and then into the sink and my whole body was aching.”

Russian said she threw up about 10 times and was prescribed more tablets at the airport after waiting an hour at the airport to see a doctor.

“Long story short it was one of the worst days of my life,’’ Russian continued.

“Having to catch two flights, my whole body was aching, I was sweating then I was shivering cold on the plane. There was a moment when we hadn’t taken off that I thought I had to get off the plane. I forced myself to sleep, then we had to get off, landed in Milan, had to go through customs, I could barely stand up straight. After an hour delay I just slept. My poor kids were just like oh my god is mum going to be OK.”

Russian was finally feeling back to herself by Monday.

“Landed in Puglia and then an hour car drive, we got to our hotel. I went to bed at like 5pm and woke up at 7am. Through the night I was sweating and then … she was back.”
