Miss Universe Australia Moraya Wilson will hand over her crown next month full of excitement for her next chapter.
The Melbourne model took on the world and placed third, along with cementing herself as a personality to watch. After she relinquishes the title at the national final in Perth, she will head to the US in search of her big break.
“I’m excited, it’s been an insane year with so many opportunities and travel,’’ Wilson said.
“So many highs I’ll never forget and look back on with a smile. I’m really excited for the next chapter and lots of worldwide projects.
“I’m ready to take on the US later in the year. Definitely for TV and modelling, I can’t wait.”
Wilson stepped out with partner Sam Alabakis at the celebration of Sofitel Melbourne on Collins’ diamond jubilee.
Its 60th anniversary was marked in grand style with La Soirée: A Symphony of Sparkles — a showcase of Australia’s cultural heritage and a First Nations fashion show presented by NGALI, a performance by Lisa Grosman of the Australian World Orchestra and a visual and sensory feast which transformed the hotel’s Club Lounge with French elegance.
“La Soirée was a tribute to Sofitel’s 60 years of unparalleled luxury and cultural celebration,’’ said Stephan Leroy, General Manager of Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.
“We are honoured to have showcased the incredible talents from our amazing local community, reflecting the diversity and artistic spirit that Melbourne is renowned for. This evening was a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.”
The first Sofitel opened in 1964, in the heart of the French region of Alsace. It is the first French luxury hospitality brand operating across all continents.
