“Karen from Brighton” has come good on her promise to leave Melbourne, arriving in Howard Springs, Darwin, for two weeks of quarantine.

Baysider Jodi Grollo announced last week she was quitting Victoria and moving to Queensland in protest against Premier Daniel Andrews and strict lockdown laws.

On Wednesday she posted a video of herself wearing a mask and singing “I’m singing in the rain” and mused: “I’m so happy again. I’m in Howard Springs, woooo.”

She said she’s out of quarantine on October 16.

Dubbed “Karen from Brighton” after a cameo on Channel 9 news in July where she declared she had “done all of Brighton”, Grollo became a social media sensation.

The daughter of billionaire pokies baron Bruce Mathieson, Grollo said she was moving to Queensland and voiced her anti-Andrews views.

“Anastasia isn’t that much better than Dan, but the weather is great and life is pretty much normal up there,’’ she wrote on social media in reference to Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

“Such a shame because I really love Melbourne.”

She added: “Dan and his cronies have done my head in. I have to go for my mental health.”

Grollo broke that news to the tune of John Denver’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane”.

Premier Andrews was unimpressed by Grollo’s frustration at not being able to exercise at the Tan in South Yarra shortly after her TV comments in July.

“Karen from Brighton” isn’t the only Melburnian escaping and paying to quarantine in Howard Springs.

Real Housewives of Melbourne star Janet Roach posted she was there last week, while model Brooke Hogan is there ahead of a move to Sydney, along with bookmaker Alan Eskander and his stylist wife Suzy and their three children.
