Former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant has revealed her family is celebrating again after suffering a devastating loss.
Brant and husband, footy great Barry Hall, have previously shared their heartbreak after the death three years ago of Brant’s sister-in-law, Sandra Brant, who was diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable form of bowel cancer.
On Saturday Brant and Hall were at the wedding of her brother Tyron who has found new happiness with his partner Anita.
“Love after loss is a very special kind of love,’’ Brant posted on social media.
“Everyone who loves you — wants happiness for you. And you have found it my brother.
“A deeply meaningful, emotional … and simply beautiful wedding. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Brant and welcome to the family Anita, with loving arms.”
In March on the anniversary of Sandra’s passing, Lauren shared a touching tribute.
Reflecting on the loss of her “chosen sister”, she said she wished “more than anything” that Sandra was still alive.
She shared a carousel of black-and-white images with her sister-in-law, from weddings to holidays and other memorable moments they had shared together.
“I wish more than anything that you were still here,’’ she posted.
“For you, for your children … for your family … for our family.
“I wish my children could receive your love, your shining smile, your fun and love of life.
“To think two of them never met you and the other two were so little when we lost you.
“To now be blessed with the most beautiful guardian angel, but to live in pain that we no longer share this physical life with you.
“3 years of grief, feels like 3 days and 300 years all in the same.
“My beautiful Sandra, gone too soon 4-3-21.”
In January Brant and Hall revealed they are expecting their fourth child: they share three sons, Miller, Houston and Samson.
Brant and Hall, who first met as contestants on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, have shared an enduring love story. They secretly married in June 2021.
