Barry Hall and Lauren Brant secretly wed in February and are expecting their third child in October.

The AFL champion and former Hi-5 star revealed their happy news while giving an emotional tribute to the life of their sister-in-law Sandra Brant who passed away aged 41 from bowel cancer in March.

“In amidst the twilight of heartache, hopelessness and suffering … We found the purest of joy, a transformational discovery,’’ Lauren shared on Instagram with pictures from their wedding in a bed of sunflowers.

“Barry and I married, completely engulfed in (nothing but) LOVE.

“A moment so true, time stood still — souls together, silently understanding that LOVE is transcendental.

“That it is all that matters and all we have.

“From this place — our marriage will be lead and cherished.”

Sandra, who shared two children with Lauren’s brother Tyron, was by the couple’s side after leaving hospital to be matron of honour when they wed on February 17.

“May our Angel Sandra, rest in peace — as we always remember her joy in celebrating us — as the Maid of Honour. Mr and Mrs Hall,’’ Brant wrote.

Hall wrote: “Proud to now call you my wife @laurenbrant. Sad circumstance but such a happy day with our Sandy by our side. Ahhh and of course now we can also say boy number 3 is on the way. Can’t wait for what’s ahead!! Love you xxoo.”

Hall and Brant, who have two sons, Miller, 4, and Houston, 2, shared their baby news with Sandra before she passed away.

Through heartache they have spoken of Sandra’s brave journey to relay the importance of checking signs and symptoms.

It took Sandra too long to get diagnosed with the disease at age 39, with doctors initially treating her for cramps, IBS and muscle issues. She had no family history of bowel cancer.

Hall and Brant, who met while they were on I’m a Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here!, have been together for the past four years.

The Sydney premiership captain, who also played for St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs, has now turned his focus to boxing. He broke down while talking about Sandra on A Current Affair on Monday night.

Lauren, who has been open about her grief, said: “There’s one reason alone why we want to share our story with everyone and that is because cancer is real and it can happen to anyone.

“It was an extremely traumatic experience, that’s the only way to describe it.

“You’re fighting between being sad and being heartbroken and falling apart literally.”
