Former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant and footy great Barry Hall are expecting their fourth child.
The couple shared the news on social media with a special set of pictures showing Brant’s growing baby bump and their adoring three sons, Miller, 6, Houston, 4, and Samson, 2.
“Well, our year is about to get a whole lot more colourful,” Brant captioned the images.
“BABY HALL #4 arriving July. We are so excited to share this news with you all.”
Brant and Hall, who first met as contestants on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, have shared an enduring love story. They secretly married in June 2021.
It was an emotional time as Brant’s sister-in-law Sandra, married to her brother, was terminally ill.
They wanted to tie the knot with her presence and sadly two weeks later she passed away from bowel cancer.
On the occasion of their two year wedding anniversary last year, Brant posted a sweet tribute to Hall, the 289 game forward who played in the Swans’ 2005 premiership and captained the club.
“Two years, the most romantic elopement fuelled by LOVE and LIFE. Words can’t describe. I love you Barry,” her post read.
Hall, 46, who became known as “Big Bad Barry” due to his aggression on the field, turned his hand to boxing and after fighting NRL great he was knocked out in under two minutes by Sonny Bill Williams in 2022.
That year while competing on Channel 7 reality show SAS Australia, he revealed how Brant had helped him deal with his demons.
“Lauren is an amazing mum, amazing wife. She has just helped me so much. We are all pretty lucky,” Hall said as he broke down in tears.
“My childhood growing up was a little dysfunctional. There wasn’t much love. I would go home to dad and brag about the fights I would get in and you’d see a little smirk on his face.”
He added that he got in fights for his father’s approval and wouldn’t come home, “until you had a couple of bruises on you”.
He added: “I was fighting a lot of demons … I messed up a few times and eventually got sacked by a football club. I had an anger issue. It took me a long time to reprogram who I was.”
In 2022 Brant posted at the time of his boxing match: “One thing he does know though, is we love him so freaking much. The boys and I are his biggest fans and will always show up and support him. What an adventure for our children to grow up with such an awesome Dad!!!”
