Brian Taylor flies out to LA today with the coronavirus global health crisis at the forefront of his mind.
The colourful footy commentator is heading to the US to film new series Holey Moley for Channel 7.
“They’ve just enacted a state of emergency there in California so good time to be flying in,’’ Taylor said.
“I am worried, of course I am.
“Not so much worried about being there, worried about flying and the airport.
“Spoke to the doctor and he said when you get on the plane before you sit down just wipe everything down.”
Taylor will be away for two weeks and returns on the Saturday morning of Round 1 to call for Triple M that day.
He said working alongside Aussie golf great Greg Norman will be a dream come true.
“The Shark, my hero. I’ve got a couple of heroes in my sporting life and he was definitely one,’’ Taylor said.
“I have seen him play probably nearly every tournament he’s won in Australia. He doesn’t know it, but I love him.”
Taylor, who has now moved to Lorne, joined his Triple M colleagues last night to also celebrate the year ahead for FOX FM.
“I’m back for the Saturday at Triple M, I get in at 5.55am and I’m to be at work by 11am. I hope I’m not quarantined,’’ he said.
“I do get one day off. I’m going to go to Universal Studios, watch the Lakers and Indian Wells to watch Ash Barty play tennis.”
