Celeb Spellcheck to delete Instagram account permanently

After years exposing influencers’ mistakes and dodgy behaviour, Celeb Spellcheck is checking out for good. This is why.

Influencer disrupter Celeb Spellcheck has checked out for good.

The popular Instagram account, with 155,000 followers, struck gold by ripping into influencer gaffes, typos, sponsored posts, product placements, op-shop re-gifts, and dodgy behaviour.

However, on Sunday, Celeb Spellcheck, posted a resignation letter.

It read: “Hi everyone, as you know I have spent some time thinking about the future of this account. After weighing up many options, the time has come to say goodbye to Celeb Spellcheck.

“This account has become too big, too powerful, and too consuming for me to enjoy running it anymore.

“There is no scandalous reason behind this decision. I’m not being threatened, sued or controlled in any way. I will be permanently deleting this account tomorrow.”

Celeb Spellcheck’s newsworthy triumphs included uncovering a just-launched Lorinska Merrington outfit, which mysteriously showed up at a bayside Salvos.

In the lead-up to the launch, TV presenter Bec Judd was among several celebrities to spruik the Lorinska’s Royale line on socials, posing up in the loungewear on her Instagram story.

However, later that week an eagle-eyed shopper spotted a set of the blue Royale tracksuit in a size eight at a Salvos near where Judd lives, sparking speculation the TV presenter had given away the outfit.

A dictionary-deficient post from model Elyse Knowles — “wallah” for “voila” was dutifully reported by Celeb Spellcheck, and picked up by news sites around he world.

Laurina Fleure snorts mystery substance

The Instagram page also recently shared video of former Bachelor contestant Laurina Fleure snorting white powder at a party.

Fleure told the Herald Sun she was “humiliated” by the post, but added: “I always aspire to live a sober life … and then the scales tip the other way and I have a blowout sometimes when I go out.”

Celeb Spellcheck had been ruminating on a departure for weeks, which caused influencers to pop open their gifted champagne bottles and celebrate.

The Bachelor star Keira Maguire was upbeat about Celeb Spellcheck’s demise, posting: “I couldn’t careless about what people say about me.”

That post in itself needed a grammatical makeover.
