Brynne Edelsten has been reunited with her mum, Mariel Gordon, as she embraces motherhood with daughter Starr Amari Gordon.
Mariel has been a doting grandmother after meeting the love of her daughter’s life late last month when she flew into Melbourne from her home in Arizona.
“And this is what makes over 30 hours of travel worth it!” Mariel wrote on social media.
She has been posting adorable snaps of the baby since, with Brynne also posting a picture of her growing “angel”.
Brynne, the ex-wife of late controversial businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, welcomed her first child in April and said she’s never been happier after the unexpected pregnancy.
The former socialite intends to raise the baby alone with the help of friends and her housemate, but has been in contact with the father since Starr’s birth.
“I’m still not sure what role he will have, but we’ve met up and he took us out to dinner and (Starr and he) spent some time together, which was really nice,’’ she told New Idea.
“She doesn’t look like me at all, but is the spitting image of her father.
“I can tell she’s going to be very strong-willed. She’s always wriggling around and doesn’t want to be dressed in what I put her in.”
Edelsten, 39, said she always wanted to be a mum.
“I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since Starr arrived,” she said.
“But I wouldn’t trade being a mum for anything – I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
She said dating was on the backburner as she focused on motherhood.
“There is plenty of time for that later on. Right now my whole life is Starr — she’s my everything,” she said.
