Brendan Fevola might hit the canvas in his heavyweight bout against Cameron Mooney, but at least he’ll look good.

The former footy star is overcoming his fears and stepping into the ring to go toe-to-toe with Geelong great Mooney on the all-star card of footballers who will meet in the All Stars Boxing — Footy Fight Night on August 3 at Margaret Court Arena.

“I was 128kg about three weeks and now I’m about 116 and a half,’’ Fevola said.

“I’ve been eating really well and I’ve got a kitchen now so I haven’t had Uber Eats four times a day.

“I’m under no illusion. It’s bloody hard, I’m coming from zero fitness. If I go out there looking fat it’s embarrassing but if I go out there and hit the canvas at least I’m looking good.”

Fevola said he has eight weeks to get into boxing fit shape, training with Dane Swan and being helped by Michael Zerafa, the world No. 2 IBF contender.

He was already daunted seeing Mooney walk in topless to their media conference in North Melbourne on Tuesday.

They will fight in the primetime, pay per view extravaganza on Foxtel, alongside Bulldogs great Adam Cooney and Collingwood Brownlow medallist Dane Swan, with North legend Brent Harvey to take on former Saint goalkicker Stephen Milne and more big names to come.

“Hopefully we can have a beers and talk about how tough we are,’’ Swan said.

Mooney said: “I have stayed relatively fit since finishing footy, but boxing training is a whole new regime.

“Fev is an entertainer — he was on the footy field, and now he’s made a living out of it, so once he steps onto that canvas, there will be bit of that, but I think he’ll really pack a punch.”

Tickets to watch the footy greats do battle in the ring go on sale via Ticketek tomorrow.

The full boxing card will be shown on Kayo and Main Event as a pay-per-view offering.
